"Here are a few shots of us wearing the San Francisco Hat Co. "Campobello Hats" onboard the U.S.S. Olympia in Philadelphia on Labor Day weekend. I have included an original shot for comparison. I am the guy standing on the turret in the group shot. Your hats made the look of 1898."

Carl and Ellie

Lucky us!

Long time friends Ellie Mathews and Carl Youngmann included a visit with us on their recent road trip from their home in Port Townsend, Washington. We can't say enough good things about them, so we'll keep it short and sweet. Here they are on Alameda's Crown Beach. Ellie is wearing a stingy brim Ray Panama Fedora with a linen band and Carl is sporting our new Slouch Fedora.

Ellie's latest book is her account of competing and winning the Pillsbury Bake Off.

Liz and Slouch Hat

The 15th San Francisco Silent film Festival kicked off with a rare opportunity to see the sole surviving 35mm print of John Ford's The Iron Horse. Also a rare opportunity to see our busy friend Liz Keim and hand off a Slouch Fedora. Liz herself is no slouch - she is created and runs a fabulous film program at the Exploratorium in San Francisco.

Liz emailed - "I love my hat. I dreamed last night that I lost it and all of these people kept bringing me hats saying, 'Is this it?'. I tried every one of them on but none of them felt as good as the one you gave me. So this morning the first thing I did was get the hat and put it on. I love it."

Riverz Hats in action!

"Electrofishing in the East Walker River (Eastern Sierra Nevada, near Bridgeport) with my Department of Fish and Game Statewide Heritage & Wild Trout Crew to perform population estimates on trout, and the other with my daughter, Emily Lupine Weaver, holding her "first" (with a little help from Dad) trout on a fly rod - McCloud redband trout, Swamp Creek, near Mt. Shasta."

I love this hat!

"Thank you, San Francisco Hat Company, for customizing my new Riverz.com Delta hat! I'm never without it whenever I play golf. And I play a lot of golf as the Executive Director of The First Tee of San Jose -- a life skills program which builds the character of youth to help them succeed in life. I love this hat!"
